Happy Holidays and Fairways

From our family to yours, we wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa

Sunny winter afternoons have the mountains of North Georgia calling to golfers from around the state. Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa’s championship golf course is open year-round, so you and your friends can tee off in the heart of North Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. The course offers 18 holes of Scottish-links style championship golf for all levels of play.

Did you know? Brasstown Valley Golf course is ranked #6 in 2024 Golf Pass Top 25 Public Georgia Golf Courses!

My spouse and I host an annual family reunion at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa as several of us are golfers. The serenity of the award-winning golf course is a draw for us and makes it a fun outing for multiple generations in our family.

The course was designed by golf course architect Denis Griffiths and contours the existing terrain. It is a well-bunkered, Scottish links-style layout with rolling hills and bent grass greens. Water comes into play on 10 holes as the golf course winds through wildlife preserves, ponds,
and streams. With five sets of tees, all skill levels can enjoy this magnificently maintained layout. As one of the most environmentally sensitive courses in the United States, Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa’s links use only 13 of its 210-acres of woodlands. This course is naturally gorgeous.

Our family recommends a few tips if you’re traveling over the winter months. First, we absolutely enjoy the Friday Night Seafood Buffet and Sunday Brunch Buffet – both served on the main floor restaurant known as The Dining Room. Check the menus here.

Equani Spa is a must with inspiring Cherokee hand-crafted decorative elements, fireplaces, and peaceful treatments. I recommend the Hydro Memory Facial with deep hydrating and restoring treatments using organic skin care products (about 50 minutes). It’s easier now to make an appointment with their new online booking service. Check here.

Also, we enjoyed that Brassie’s Grill has been renovated with a banquet-like canvas door that raises to the heated patio outdoor seating year-round. Brassie’s (the 19th hole) is the best pub around for casual dining! It’s the perfect place to catch a post-season game.

Golf rates vary seasonally and include a golf cart and range balls. My husband recommends booking tee times in advance by calling 706-379-4613 or booking online so that your ideal day of golf falls easily into your itinerary.

One more thing: this area is so amazing that you’ll hardly ever leave the resort property because of everything it offers. But if you’re up for a planetarium show, fishing tour, a concert, or wine tasting at an area winery, you’re in a great place. Cheers to the New Year at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa!
